When it comes to the Jadeveon Clowney saga, there little information on where the three-time Pro Bowl edge rusher stands and if or when he intends on signing with a team.
Will he play this season? Who will he play for? When will he sign? Who is his agent?
Well, the past 24 hours, there has been some movement.
First, Clowney reportedly parted ways with his agent Bus Cook.
Then, another morsel of information trickled out when Nick Underhill, who covers the Saints at NewOrleans.Football, happened upon a photo of Saints head coach Sean Payton and a private chef, who says she cooked for Payton and Clowney Friday night.
“Major shoutout to my client @clowney__90 for the opportunity to cook for Sean Payton and two additional New Orleans Saints coaches.”
While not photographed, Clowney liked and commented on the post, as well.
According to Mike Florio, Saints G.M. Mickey Loomis went to Texas to visit the free-agent defensive end with Payton and two other Saints coaches.
Clowney, 27, remains unsigned less than a week before the start of the regular season. After wanting upwards of $20M a year, the edge rusher has seemingly not backed off that valuation.
On Saturday, teams must trim their rosters to 53 players.
Will those cuts pave the way for a Clowney signing? Time will tell.
