Jamal Adams predicts Trail Blazers-Lakers first-round series goes to Game 7

The eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers took down the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers, 100-93, in Game 1 Tuesday night, but Jamal Adams believes the series is far from over.

The Seahawks safety took to Twitter Wednesday to praise three-time champion LeBron James and told everyone within an earshot to put respect on King James’ name.

But Adams recognizes real when he sees it and he dished out some praise for Damian Lillard too.

The two-time Pro Bowler believes the first-round series will come down to seven games, which is not surprising considering two of the NBA’s elite players are battling against one another.

Plus, Trail Blazers games always seem to come down to the final moments, leaving Portland fans on the edge of their seats.

Adams may be new to the Pacific Northwest, so we’ll cut him a little slack when it comes to picking a side. But, seriously, which team is he predicting in 7? Inquiring minds must know.

We’ll wait for his response.

Game 2 between the Trail Blazers and Lakers tips off on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. here on NBC Sports Northwest.
