Report: Julio Jones wants to join 'big-armed QB'-- could that be Russell Wilson?

Seahawks

Julio Jones is the hottest available NFL commodity and his wants and needs seem to align with the Seattle Seahawks.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Jones is focused on joining a contending team with a quarterback able to throw the ball deep.

Russell Wilson was ninth in passing yards and seventh in attempts and completions.

Throwing the ball deep though wasn’t his forte. He finished 14th in throws 20+ yards, but sixth in 40+ throws.

Where Jones will land is a mystery, but according to PointsBet the Seahawks and Tennessee Titans have the best odds of landing Jones at +250.

Jones is currently due to make $38.3 million over the next three seasons, with an average payout of $12.7 million.

Whichever team acquires him will also need to figure out his contract situation and whether he’ll want a new deal upon arrival or after the 2021 season.

With the possibility of a new contract hovering, it adds to the complexity of acquiring the seven-time Pro Bowler.

Seattle acquiring Jones would be a trove of riches for Wilson.

Who should he pass to?

Jones, DK Metcalf, or Tyler Lockett.

The complicated part is money. Metcalf is eligible for an extension soon and, Lockett just inked a $69 million extension.

Everything is up in the air, but one thing is for certain. The Seahawks do have interest in the 32-year-old. -- PointsBet is our Official Sports Betting Partner and, we may receive compensation if you place a bet on PointsBet for the first time after clicking our links.
