The Seahawks have announced their six inactives for Week 1 against the Falcons.
RB DeeJay Dallas
DL Alton Robinson
WR Phillip Dorsett
OL Jamarco Jones
OT Cedric Ogbuehi
LB D'Andre Walker
-- Dallas and Robinson being inactive is a bit of a surprise. Seattle clearly feels more comfortable with Damontre Moore on the defensive line and feels that it only needs three active running backs. I was eager to see those two rookies make their debuts, though, after each had standout training camp.
-- The writing was on the wall for Dorsett (foot) being out when the Seahawks promoted Penny Hart from the practice squad. Hart replaced Ursua on the active roster because he offers more of an outside presence whereas Ursua is a traditional slot receiver. Hart is active and could see reps on special teams, but he isn't likely to see much playing time on offense unless there's an injury.
-- Jones (illness) was downgraded to questionable on Saturday. With Ogbuehi also out, Seattle promoted Chad Wheeler from the practice squad on Saturday. This was a free move that didn't require a corresponding transaction. All teams are allowed two such moves per week this season.
-- Walker is a lottery ticket edge player that the Seahawks claimed off waivers earlier in the week. He may contribute down the road, but every indication is that he's more of a project at this point.
