Russell Wilson & Ciara ink TV and films deal with Amazon Studios

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has been very active in his business ventures since entering the league almost a decade ago.

With the 2021 NFL season approaching, Wilson has yet again made an addition to his portfolio by joining Amazon Studios with his wife Ciara to to develop and produce scripted series and films with Amazon through the couples Why Not You Productions.

"We're so excited and honored to work with Amazon Studios," Wilson and Ciara said in a statement. "They've quickly become one of the most exciting studios in entertainment and have shown a strong belief in our vision to bring inspiring stories to the world. We can't wait to begin our work together."

Wilson was an executive producer for the film “Braddock” and is a co-executive producer with his wife for the film “Not Without Hope.”  

In 2019, the couple teamed with the production companies of Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade to work on the film “Relentless,” regarding the life of ex-NFL player Vernon Turner.

There's no word yet on their first project or release date, but we'll keep you updated.
