Our hearts just skilled a beat.
Russell Wilson just unveiled his new signature DangeRuss 3 cleats in collaboration with Nike and our minds are blown. All we can say is: Let Russ Cook.
The unbelievable cleats, decked out in what appears to be Seahawks navy and action green, aren’t on sale on the Nike site as of yet, but Seahawks fans are going to want to get their hands on a pair of these DangeRuss shoes as soon as they are.
You will never catch the man in these cleats and the 12s are all about it.
Wilson previously said this offseason that he wanted to be more up-tempo throughout a game. Now he’s changing the shoe game too.
In his eight seasons, the Seahawks franchise quarterback has recorded seven double-digit win seasons, missed the playoff just once, and won a Super Bowl title during the 2013 season.
Wilson is the only quarterback in the NFL to toss 100 touchdown passes over the last three seasons, throwing for 11,541 yards and just 23 interceptions with eight fourth-quarter comebacks and 11 game-winning drives.
But at the midpoint of his career, with only one Super Bowl win to show for it so far, Wilson is ready to be unleashed.
“I do definitely believe in finishing strong,’’ Wilson said. “We’ve won a lot of games in the fourth quarter. And you know, done some fun things in the fourth quarter and in the game, but, you know, let’s treat every quarter as the fourth. I think that’s kind of my mentality.”
It will be up to Brian Schottenheimer and Pete Carroll on whether Wilson is able to weave some illusion-like magic into his game earlier as the rallying cry “Let Russ Cook,” continues to resonate with Seahawks fans.
