Vintage Russell Wilson has come out to play in the second half of Seattle’s divisional matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams.
After both teams failed to register a touchdown in the first half of Sunday’s game at Lumen Field, Russell Wilson began cooking. The Seahawks franchise quarterback scrambled for a four-yard score on the Seahawks opening drive of the half, giving Seattle the 13-6 edge.
The first touchdown of the game came moments after Wilson had an incredible throw and catch for 45 yards to David Moore that had a completion probability of just 26.0 percent, per Next Gen Stats.
It was a much-needed play for the Seahawks, who have struggled to pack an offensive punch like they did earlier in the season. Wilson is currently 13 of 22 for 148 yards passing through three quarters.
Seattle remains on top 13-9 with 12:43 left in the fourth quarter. If the Seahawks can hold onto a lead over the Rams, they'll clinch the NFC West division title for the first time since 2016.
