Jamal Adams closes in on single-season sack record by a safety

Jamal Adams is a sack monster.

In the second quarter of Seattle’s Week 13 matchup with the New York Giants, the All-Pro safety on Colt McCoy on third down to record his 7.5 sack of the season for the Seahawks, a team lead.

He’s accomplished that feat in just eight games, as a DB. Let that sink in.

According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, Adrian Wilson holds the single-season sack record by a DB with 8.0. Adams needs one more to take over the record and the Seahawks still have five more games to go, including Sunday’s game vs. the Giants.

It’s safe to say Adams isn’t bored in the Seahawks defense and NFL Twitter is loving it.

The Seahawks are still up 5-0 as the second quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Giants comes to a close. Keep an eye on Adams, as he could easily reach the safety sack milestone in the second half.
