Bobby Wagner nabs seventh-consecutive Pro Bowl nod

We’ve probably said this before, but is there anything Bobby Wagner can’t do?

For the seventh time since 2014, the Seattle Seahawks veteran linebacker has been named to the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Monday.

Nearly two weeks ago, Wagner surpassed 100 tackles for the ninth-consecutive season. His 1,201 tackles are the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2012 and are currently the most in Seahawks history.

He now has 126 total on the year following Sunday’s win over the Washington Football Team, currently ranked sixth in the NFL, and is still in reach of his 159 count posted in 2019.

To add to his impressive resume, Wagner has also recorded three sacks, a fumble recovery, and eight pass deflections through 14 games for Seattle this season.

“He’s a Hall of Famer,” Carroll said in Week 12. “He is exactly what you would hope to write up as almost the definition for the position. There’s been some great ones, and he’s one of them.”

And now he’s a seven-time Pro Bowler too.

Pro Bowl teams are chosen by a combination of fan voting, media and coaches. The NFL's "All-Star" game has been canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s the first time the Pro Bowl has been canceled since 1949.
