This Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks (8-4) will be taking on the winless New York Jets (0-12) at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
The Seahawks are currently a 13.5-point favorite against the Jets, odds provided by our partner PointsBet, with an implied point total of 46.5 points.
- Giants: +520
- Seahawks: -741
- Jets: +13.5 (-110)
- Seahawks: -13.5 (-110)
- O/U: 46.5 (-105)
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of a very disappointing 17-12 home loss against the New York Giants on Sunday. Quarterback Russell Wilson did not play up to his normal standards, passing for 263 yards with one touchdown and an interception. He was also sacked five times in the game and lost a fumble as well.
The defense played better on the pass defense part, but the Giants run game ran all over them in the game, led by Giants RB Wayne Gallman who had 135 yards on the ground.
The Jets have not won a single game all season but were very close to getting one last week against the Las Vegas Raiders before losing in dramatic fashion 31-28 in the closing seconds.
The Jets defense, lead by former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, rushed seven players at Raiders quarterback Derek Carr who connected with rookie WR Henry Ruggs III for a 46-yard touchdown to win the game.
A heartbreaking loss for the team, but their fans were happy because they are looking to earn the No.1 spot in next year's draft.
The Jets will be looking to win their first game of the season this Sunday against the Seahawks.
In regards to injuries, Jets head coach Adam Tase stated on Monday that RB Greg Van Roten and Safeties Ashytn Davis, and Bennett Jackson all could be out the remainder of the season. For the Seahawks, a lot of players are making their way back to the field such as RB Rashaad Penny who is returning to practice on Wednesday.
More info on the Seahawks injuries will come later this week.
Both quarterbacks are healthy and will be ready to face each other in a shootout in this game. Wilson on PointsBet is listed at -200 for over 300 passing yards against the Jets, while Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is listed at +220 for getting over 300 passing yards in the game. The Seahawks offense did not look like themselves last week, so I would say it is a safe bet to go with Wilson and the Seahawks offense to retune to somewhat normal as compared to what they did last Sunday.
