Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys: Odds, over/under, player prop bets

When the Seattle Seahawks (2-0) host the Dallas Cowboys (1-1) this Sunday afternoon, expect a lot of fireworks on offense.

The game holds the week's highest over/under at 57 points, odds provided by our partner, PointsBet. It makes total sense. Seattle has perhaps the NFL's worst pass rush which allows its highly talented secondary to give up an NFL-leading 415.5 passing yards per game.

Then, add in that pass rusher Bruce Irvin and nickel cornerback Marquise Blair suffered season-ending injuries last Sunday, the Cowboys talented offense of MVP candidate Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb should feast in the Emerald City.

But, now that the Seahawks are allowing Russell Wilson to 'cook' and play aggressively on offense all game, Seattle has the offense to win a shootout with Dallas. That, along with home field advantage, is why the Seahawks are favored to win this Sunday.

Money line:

  • Cowboys: +180
  • Seahawks: -226

Point spread:

  • Cowboys: +5 (-100)
  • Seahawks: -5 (-100)

What about player props?

Russell Wilson has props of over/under 283.5 passing yards (-115) and 34.5 passing attempts (-114). So far this season, Wilson has averaged 305 yards passing on 31.5 pass attempts per game. Meanwhile, Dallas has given up 268 passing yards on 34 pass attempts per game. Last week, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had 273 yards passing and four touchdowns on 36 attempts in a 40-39 loss.

Dak Prescott has props of over/under 297.5 yards passing and 39.5 passing attempts. The MVP candidate has averaged 358 yards passing per game this season on 43 attempts per game.

Rushing wise, Chris Carson has an over/under of 63.5 rushing yards while Ezekiel Elliot has an over/under of 83.5 rushing yards.

For receiving, it's as follows:

  • Tyler Lockett 67.5 receiving yards
  • DK Metcalf 60.5 receiving yards
  • Chris Carson 19.5 receiving yards

Best Bet: Chris Carson, over: While Carson has seen less rushing attempts this season, his pass-catching ability has gone up. He's averaging 4.5 receptions per game and 40.5 receiving yards per game along with three receiving touchdowns this season. Given how fast paced Seattle's game against Dallas should be, all he needs is one well-blocked screen pass to get the over but the Seahawks have been targeting him in the endzone on completions of 3-yards, 19-yards, and 18-yards this season.

  • Dalton Schultz 37.5 receiving yards
  • Ezekiel Elliot 31.5 receiving yards
  • Amari Cooper 67.5 receiving yards
  • Michael Gallup 55.5 receiving yards
  • CeeDee Lamb 60.5 receiving yards

Best Bet: CeeDee Lamb, over: While all wide receivers should feast given Seattle's inability to pressure the quarterback, Lamb should feast in the slot going up against Ugo Amadi who will replace Blair in the nickel package. Not that Amadi's a bad player, but he's the most easily susceptible to giving up completions. Plus, Lamb has already become an impact player for Dallas after playing 82.9% of offensive snaps in last week's win over Atlanta.
