Tyler Lockett passes 1,000 yard milestone, breaks Seahawks record for catches

Another franchise record has been broken for the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday afternoon.

With his seventh catch of the game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, wide receiver Tyler Lockett caught his 95th reception of the season.

With that catch, Lockett became the single-season record holder for receptions in franchise history, passing former Seahawks’ Doug Baldwin and Bobby Engram.

It is also worth adding that Lockett passed the 1,000-receiving mark for this season as well.

Lockett and Metcalf both have over 1,000 yards in the season, which becomes just the second duo in Seattle history to reach the century mark in the same season. Brian Blades and Joey Galloway last accomplished the feat in 1995.

Lockett also earned himself a nice payday for passing the milestone on Sunday.

The Seahawks are currently up 6-0 against the 49ers with 6:36 left in the second quarter.

A historic game for both Metcalf and Lockett that the two will never forget.
