The 2020 NFL season hasn’t started yet, but the Seattle Seahawks tight end room is already divided over one controversial topic.
Is Tiger King actually good?
In a Seahawks tight end video chat on Monday night, tight ends Will Dissly, Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister welcomed in veteran Greg Olsen to the position room.
Minutes into the conversation, the group shared their thoughts on the Netflix documentary, Tiger King, which explores big cat breeding and has unusual characters like Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin.
Luke Willson immediately unleashed this hot take.
“I think it’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” Willson said. “It’s insanely dumb.”
Will Dissly admits he loved Tiger King, mainly because its exemplified the Sunshine State's crazy stereotype.
“If you were like what’s going on in Florida, and you tried to picture the most exotic, crazy thing in your mind, you’re not even going to come close to what Tiger King is,” Dissly said. “That’s why it’s awesome.”
Jacob Hollister seemed caught off guard by the weird docuseries from the very start, but he couldn’t stop watching.
“I remember when I got done watching the first episode and I thought, am I going to keep watching this?” Hollister said. “It was entertaining, that’s for sure.”
The whole conversation took a turn when Dissly shared he, like Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin, would like to own a tiger.
“Could you imagine this huge jungle animal? Like Mike Tyson dude,” Dissly said. “You just got to treat him fairly.”
Willson quickly interjected, because no dude, it’s a tiger. Hollister shot back with this sensational response.
“It sounds to me like Will’s campaigning for Carole Baskin.”
The best part of the whole Tiger King debacle was 35-year-old Olsen issuing this response to his much younger teammates.
“You young guys, man.”
