If the Seattle Seahawks are looking to add depth to their wide receiver room ahead of the 2020 season, Russell Wilson may have found his guy.
No, it’s not Antonio Brown.
No, it’s not Josh Gordon.
It’s Kevin Hart.
The comedian and actor hosts a show called Cold as Balls, where he interviews athletes in cold tubs full of ice. If you have ever taken an ice bath before, you know the feeling (or lack thereof) it has on your body and how hard it is to hold conversations. But that is what makes the show funny.
However, during this time of quarantine and social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hart has continued his show but in a virtual manner: Cold As Balls: Cold Calls.
His latest guest is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

I’m looking to train with you. I’m waiting for you to come be my slot receiver. — Russell Wilson
Hart responded, “The day that you do that, that be the day you add more Super Bowl to you.”
All jokes aside, the two talk about what they’ve been doing throughout this quarantine, Wilson’s baseball career and the decision to play football over baseball, Wilson’s father passing, the evolution of the small quarterback, and much more.
Wilson has changed the game at the quarterback position in several ways, but arguably the most influential is the evolution of the smaller QB. Standing at just 5-foot-11, Wilson has changed the narrative that ‘shorter’ quarterbacks can’t play football. Well, they can and they can do it extremely well, just look at Wilson’s resume.
Wilson shares this one memory from the NFL Combine that he will never forget.
I was going to try to put some socks under these feet and try to get a couple inches. I had my hair all tall and had it all gelled up. I’m thinking to myself, ‘I’m gonna be 6 foot, 6’1” with this hair. Sure enough… this dude measures me at 5’10 1/4.” — Russell Wilson
So his tactics didn’t work, but what came next changed his mentality and gave him that “edge” and “chip on his shoulder.”
I’m walking down the aisle and everybody was like [whispering] and I’ll never forget this. There was a dude on the right, I ain’t gonna say who it is, he says to the guy next to him ‘He’ll never make it.’ I’ll never forget hearing that in my right ear. — Russell Wilson
