San Antonio Spurs

No matter where you go, Seattle basketball remains a part of you if you grew up in the Emerald City.

Prior to his regular season finale against the Phoenix Suns, Spurs point guard and Seattle native Dejounte Murray repped a Seattle Storm sweatshirt.

Storm legend Sue Bird took note, too.

The Storm opened its title defense with a 97-83 win over the Las Vegas Aces Saturday afternoon.

Murray won three Class 3A state championships titles at  Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington in addition to being named Washington Mr. Basketball.

After one season as a Washington Husky where he averaged 16.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.8 steals in 33.5 minutes while starting all 34 games, he declared for the 2016 NBA Draft.

The Spurs selected him near the end of the first round and he recently signed a four-year $64M contract extension.
