It is H.E.R. time!

On Thursday, the Seattle Storm unveiled three new jerseys for the 2021 season.

After re-designing their logo earlier this year, the Storm will sport their Nike Heroine, Explorer, and Rebel Edition jerseys.

The H.E.R. initiative is part of the WNBA and Storm's effort to break barriers and fight for equality.

The uniforms are a part of the WNBA’s Count It initiative for the 25th season of the league and are a stark departure from the past. The WNBA Nike Edition uniforms feature unique aspects of each city and three original designs for each of the 12 teams.

“For the first time ever we have uniforms that are uniquely ours,” said Storm guard Sue Bird via a team release. “Every single jersey shares a story that represents our city, and the distinction allows us to express our own creativity and individual style. Nike’s attention to each design detail makes me excited and proud to put the uniform on, and demonstrates a huge step forward in growing the game for women.”

Here's a few more looks at the jerseys.

“I really love the new jerseys,” said Storm guard Jordin Canada. “It gives me a throwback vibe of what the jerseys used to look like in the early 2000s with a modern twist. Having these new jerseys and a new logo gives us a fresh start to kick off the 25th anniversary of the WNBA.”     The Heroine Edition home jersey are white with “Storm.”

The Explorer Edition—the away uniform—features a sweeping yellow frame coupled with a spruce-green field and an ode to the Space Needle down the side.

The Rebel Edition, celebrates Seattle's lineage of political engagement and has a sash-like swoop across the chest, the back and down the shorts, symbolizing female empowerment coupled with bold, graphic type in well-worn relief.     “The rebel uniform is the fun uniform because Nike got in the details of everybody’s cities and pulled out different attributes for each city and put in on a uniform,” said Bird, who was heavily involved in the design process with Nike. “For us, there is a little bit of grunge lettering and it’s black which is totally unique to Seattle.”
