Ariel Carlson wins Prep Softball Player of the Year

Ariel Carlson has long been a standout on the softball field. She committed to Oregon when she was still in eight grade and has become one of the best softball players in Oregon in the short time since. Carlson was runner-up for Prep Softball Player of the Year in 2018, finishing just behind teammate Abby Doerr.

Carlson hit .701 with 56 RBI, 20 home runs, 11 doubles and 1 triple this season. She also had an 11-2 record as a pitcher, totaling 123 strikeouts and an ERA of just 1.57

Multiple scouting services list Carlson as one of the Top 25 prospects in the class of 2019.
