The betting odds for the NBA Slam Contest are out, and the odds don't look great for Anfernee Simons.
The Trail Blazers backup point guard, competing in his first dunk contest, is currently +250 to win the contest, the worst odds in the field.
This according to PointsBet, the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports.
It's not that he's a long shot to win it-- he's just by no means considered the favorite.
Rounding out the field are New York's Obi Toppin at +140, while Indiana's Cassius Stanley is the favorite at +115.
Ant with the worst odds? Looks like "They" are at it again.
Even if Simons doesn't win, his lifelong goal of participating are still coming true.
"I honestly didn't expect to be picked," Simons said. "So it kinda caught me by surprise when I got the phone call that I had been invited."
The "Let Ant Dunk" campaign has been going on for years and if "they" had paid attention they'd know the young buck was born with springs in his legs.
Just last week, Simons was putting the bunnies on display at practice.
A quick search of #LetAntDunk on social will show you just how good he is.
"They" keep doubting, and they can go right ahead.
On Sunday night, the entire NBA will have to put some respect on his name.
