Jusuf Nurkic can’t seem to catch a break.

As the Trail Blazers took on the Miami Heat on Sunday, Jusuf Nurkic appears to have suffered a non-contact injury in the second quarter. With 3:50 to play before halftime, Nurkic called for Enes Kanter to replace him, and walked directly to the locker room with one of the trainers.

According to the Trail Blazers, Nurkic suffered a sacral contusion and will return to Sunday's game. He had two points and six rebounds in eight minutes of play before leaving the court.

The seven-year veteran returned to the Blazers lineup on Sunday after sitting out of Saturday's game due to "injury management" of his left knee. He has been on a minutes restriction since returning to game action on March 26. Blazers coach Terry Stotts said the team would increase his minutes to 25 on Sunday night.

In 18 games for the Trail Blazers, Nurkic is averaging 9.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

The Heat currently lead the Trail Blazers 56-48 at halftime.
