The Portland Trail Blazers will be without two of its best three players Tuesday evening against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Both Damian Lillard (right hamstring tendinopathy) and Jusuf Nurkić (right knee management) will miss Tuesday's game at Moda Center, the team announced Monday.
It's the third consecutive game Lillard will miss with the hamstring injury. Portland has gone 3-1 with him out of the lineup this season with wins over Philadelphia, Orlando and San Antonio.
Nurkić missed the last game against the Clippers on April 6th with a right knee injury and returned two days later against Utah.
"It wasn't a specific injury," explained Terry Stotts prior to the Clippers game on April 6th about Nurk's right knee. "He played in the back-to-back. It started to bother him on Sunday, he had a little inflammation, a little swelling.
"It wasn't a specific thing that happened. He just ended up having a little swelling."
On the season, Nurkic has averaged 9.3 points and 7.5 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game.
Lillard has had an MVP-level season averaging 28.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists for the Trail Blazers.
CJ McCollum and Enes Kanter are expected to start at point guard and center against Los Angeles. Kanter started on the 6th and scored 13 points while grabbing 15 rebounds in a 133-116 defeat.
That Clippers loss was the beginning of a Trail Blazers skid which saw Portland lose 5-of-7 games with wins over Detroit and San Antonio.
Portland hosts the Clippers at Moda Center at 7:00 p.m. PT Tuesday, April 20th.
