CJ McCollum has been waiting for this moment since 2002.
The Cleveland Browns are officially in the NFL playoffs. With a 24-22 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the Browns clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs, ending the longest-active drought.
The Portland Trail Blazers guard and Dawg pound fanatic has been rooting on his favorite team all season long and of course couldn’t hold back on his Twitter when his underdog Browns officially qualified for one of the AFC’s three Wild Card spots.
CJ isn’t your average Browns fan. In fact, McCollum, a Canton Ohio native, is quite possibly the biggest Browns fan west of Cleveland, Ohio. We can only imagine what the celebration in CJ’s hotel room in San Francisco looks like right now with the Blazers getting set to play the Warriors Sunday night.
"We did it. Great job guys. See you next week, Pittsburgh... see you next week," McCollum said on his Instagram story before delivering a barking chant.
Cleveland will now advance to next week’s AFC Wild Card Round, where it has yet to be determined which team the Browns will face.
