Future Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony has been one of the most active NBA stars to use his platform to promote and work to create change for Black communities in philanthropic efforts while advocating for justice for victims like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.
The Trail Blazers veteran is now using his clothing line ‘StayMe7o’ to further support Black fashion designers.
Anthony took to Twitter Friday to share in his excitement for the new collaboration of Propel SS21.
The collaboration features seven Black clothing designers and will be rolled out on Monday, Sept. 14 during New York Fashion Week.
‘A Black Future’ is “the Propel Program’s debut collaboration between StayMe7o and seven black designers who inspire a culture of change through fashion and creativity.”
The seven designers teaming up with ‘StayMe7o’ include:
- Barriers Worldwide
- The Brooklyn Circus
- Ghetto Gastro
- Shakira Jovanni
Earlier this week, Melo explained the mission of his latest clothing-line collaboration on his Facebook page which also included a sneak peek at the high-end looks.
Melo ends the promotional video with thought-provoking questions, ‘What is the future? What is the future for us?’
