CJ McCollum encourages J.J. Watt to play for the Browns

Trail Blazers

It is no secret that Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum is an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns.

McCollum is a Canton, Ohio native and his fandom for his Browns is quite possibly the strongest in the NBA.

Last season, the Browns were impressively more successful than usual. They clinched their first playoff berth since 2002 when they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 48-37 in the Wild Card Round.

The next week, the Browns lost to the Kanas City Chiefs 22-17. But still, the team and its fans have high hopes for next season.

With the offseason in full swing, McCollum is already pitching to players on behalf of the Browns. First, it was free agent Richard Sherman.

Now, McCollum is setting his sights on another potential grab for the Browns.

Former Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

McCollum might not have to do much of anything to bring Watt to Cleveland because the Browns have the things he is looking for: Money and a potential Super Bowl run.

They also have a strong supporting cast and a positive environment.

So McCollum can make his pitch, but Watt already knows what the Browns can bring him if he heads that direction.

The offseason is still in the beginning stages, and the official free-agent market doesn’t open up till about March.

McCollum wants to see his Browns win, and he wants to see them win now.

Anything can happen this offseason, and you can be for certain McCollum will be voicing his thoughts for the Browns when they make the necessary offseason moves.
