According to Sports Business Daily, PlayersTV, powered by Players Media Group, has now signed a carriage deal with SlingTV.

It was in July when PlayersTV, a network focused on professional athletes' lifestyle and culture, signed a deal with ReachTV’s OTT network, which aired in airports and hotels. The network also signed a deal with Samsung TV Plus last spring.

But now the network will reach an even larger audience.

And McCollum is going to be a big part of it!

CJ will host a talk show for PlayersTV called “Remaking America: A Conversation.”

And he’s not just hosting the show, McCollum is also listed as an executive producer.

“Remaking America” will focus on social issues. The show will include interviews with athletes, politicians, community leaders and activists.

Other athletes who have partnered with the network, include Chris Paul, Vernon Davis, and Carmelo Anthony.

The Players Media Group is a new sports-centric media entertainment company.

“In today’s world, the desire to not only connect directly with athletes but also learn about their lives off the field of play continues to grow exponentially. But it hasn’t always been easy getting great athlete content into the hands of fans,” Players Media Group co-founder Deron Guidrey said back in Feb. “Through PlayersTV, we’ve created a distribution ecosystem that brings fans and athletes together in one place, making it easier for fans to access the content they desire, and easier for athletes to reach their fans and also better monetize their content. I’m excited to have world-class athletes join us as shareholders, investors and partners on this journey.”

The Players TV network will feature the docuseries “Swingman” about Seattle Mariners favorite and Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.
