CJ McCollum is finally back.
The Trail Blazers guard is set to make his return to the Portland lineup on Tuesday vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.
This will be the first time McCollum has taken the court since Jan. 16 when he suffered a fractured foot in Portland’s win over Atlanta. Originally it seemed as if McCollum had escaped a major injury and suffered just a sprain, but an MRI later revealed a hairline fracture. This was the third foot fracture for McCollum over his career.
The Trail Blazers guard was having himself an All-Star worthy year before injuring his foot. In 13 games, McCollum was averaging 26.7 points (47.3% FG, 44.1% 3-PT, 84.4% FT), 3.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the Blazers.
After missing eight weeks, McCollum will officially make his return to the Trail Blazers lineup on Tuesday vs. the New Orleans Pelicans. Tip off for the game is set for 7:00 p.m. PT at Moda Center.
