CJ McCollum has done it again.
After blazing past Rasheed Wallace in January for 10th on Portland’s all-time scoring list, the Blazers guard has reached another tremendous milestone.
Thursday against the Utah Jazz, with his sixth-made field goal of the game, McCollum passed Wallace (3634) on the Trail Blazers' all-time list with 3,635 career field goals made.
Despite being sidelined just 13 games into the season after fracturing his left foot and making his return in March, the seven-year veteran is averaging 23.8 points per game, 3.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 25 games for Portland. In the Blazers loss to the Clippers on Tuesday, McCollum scored 24 points (9-15 FG, 2-4 3PT, 4-5 FT) to go with three rebounds, six assists and two steals in 37 minutes.
McCollum’s next benchmark will be surpassing Mychal Thompson (3777) who sits in ninth all-time in field goals scored for the Trail Blazers.
