Could Jusuf Nurkic lure Danilo Gallinari to the Portland Trail Blazers?

It sounds like there's a reunion that could be on the horizon.

Okay... Well, maybe.

It involves one guy who has been on Trail Blazers’ minds over the years as a potential candidate to help their hometown team:

Forward Danilo Gallinari.

Gallinari is set to become a free agent this year, and it seems he’s already preparing to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tuesday morning, Gallinari asked his Twitter followers where he should play next.

Fans were eager to respond.

And so was Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic.

Nurk commented on the post:

“Brate” with a smiling face emoji with a hand over its face.

So could Nurk help the Blazers land Gallinari?

In Serbian, ‘Brate’ means brother. Since the two played in Denver together from 2014-2017, could the duo reunite in Rip City?

Gallinari was selected sixth overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2006, while Denver drafted Nurkic 16thoverall in 2014.

This season for the Thunder, Gallinari proved he's still got it, averaging 18.7 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from deep.

Throughout his career, Gallinari has played for the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The veteran forward’s ability to play both small forward or come in and stretch the floor at the four spot could be a great fit for the Trail Blazers and Coach Terry Stotts’ system and thus, why many in Rip City have already been wishing for Gallinari to make his way to Portland.

Having Nurkic in Gallinari’s ear can’t hurt, right?
