A lot has been made this offseason about Damian Lillard discussing his desire for the Trail Blazers organization to go all in on building a championship team.
With that, there were plenty of rumors this summer about Lillard wanting out of Portland.
He went on record saying, “a lot of things are being said and it hasn't come from me,” while he was in Las Vegas training with Team USA.
"We've made the playoffs all these years in a row,” Lillard said. “We're not a bad team, we're a winning team. We're in the playoffs every year. We got a great environment. We're in a great city...it's a lot of positives but I just think we've reached that point where it's like, 'ok but it's not enough.' Do we actually want to win it all? Is that what we're shooting for. We got to do things to show that. We got to put action behind that desire to win at that level."
While many around Rip City were, and continue to be, fearful that the face of the franchise wants out, Lillard has continued to share his loyal intentions.
"My intentions and my heart has always been set on being in a Trail Blazers uniform for my entire career... Over time you want to win it all and I want to win it all in a Trail Blazers uniform but we all have to be making strides towards that," Lillard said in mid July following a Team USA practice.
And now, less than a month before Portland begins its exhibition season, Lillard has fans taking notice of his latest message:
A sweet, but simple caption that has Blazers fans buzzing.
Trail Blazers fans are ready for more, Dame!
