Damian Lillard drops season-high 26 points in first half vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Portland Trail Blazers got off to a slow start against the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night at Moda Center.

Well, everyone except for Damian Lillard. 

The 5x All-Star kept the Trail Blazers in the game in the first quarter, despite being down 29-28 after 15 minutes of play.

Lillard finished the first half with a season-high for points in a single half, 26, hitting 9-of-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. He also had five assists and four rebounds.

Dame’s hot hand helped the Trail Blazers outscore the Timberwolves 47-27 in the second quarter and take a 75-56 lead at halftime. 

This season, Lillard is averaging 26.0 points, 6.6 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
