Lillard passes Chauncey Billups in career 3's, 16th most in NBA history

Coming into Sunday’s contest hosting the New York Knicks, Damian Lillard was in reach of yet another milestone in his incredible NBA career.

The Portland Trail Blazers 5x All-Star and eight-year pro has officially passed Chauncey Billups (1,830 3PM) in career three-pointers and has moved into 16th on the NBA's all-time list. He is currently fifth among active players.

Lillard needed three three-pointers to pass Billups. It took one half of play to do so. He dropped two three-pointers in the first quarter and finished the first 12 minutes of play with 15 points (4-of-4 from the field and 2-of-2 from 3PT). The third three came just before halftime.
