Damian Lillard sets NBA record for 3-pointers in a playoff series

Trail Blazers

Just a game after setting the NBA Playoffs record for three-pointers in a single game, Damian Lillard has done it again.

This time, the Trail Blazers franchise player set the NBA record for three-pointers in a single playoff series, surpassing Donovan Mitchell's record of 33 in the series against Denver last season. It took Mitchell seven games to set the record in that series.

Coincidentally, both records came against Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets.

Lillard set the record by hitting his 34th three-pointer of the series with 4:17 left in the first quarter of Game 6.

He followed it up with a dazzling stepback jumper with just 0.4 seconds left in the first half.

In this series, Lillard has tied the NBA Playoffs record for three-pointers in a half (eight in the frist half of Game 2), NBA Playofs record for three-pointers in a game (12 during Game 5) and recorded the first 50-point, 10-assist game in NBA Playoffs history (Game 5).
