This will be Lillard's fourth game he has missed this season.

Following Saturday’s practice in Charlotte, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts gave the latest updates on Lillard.

“It’s still bothering him otherwise he’d play tomorrow,” Stotts said. "He got treatment today. Another day or a couple days of rest, hopefully it does him good.”

Coach Stotts also mentioned that with the nagging hamstring injury really bothering Lillard over the past couple of days “it was a mutual” decision between the health and performance team and Lillard to sit out another game.

With this condensed season this year, there has been a lot of talk of ‘load management’ for Lillard and for him to take a few games off down the stretch of the season.

Now he is getting that chance.

“You don’t like the circumstances behind it, but missing the San Antonio game and the Charlotte is game is at least five games rest, so you can look at that part as being positive,” Stotts added.

Coach Stotts and Robert Covington both discussed that they were pleased with how the team was able to respond and claw back from 16 points down to the Spurs to get the win even without their leading scorer.

We don’t know how long [Dame's] going to be out… So for us to get that win without him it just shows that guys stepped up and made big plays.
