The Trail Blazers are a family. And by their latest addition, that couldn't ring more true.
That's because Damian Lillard's cousin, Keljin Blevins, will join the team on a two-way contract. That's according to a photo Blevins posted on his Instagram.
Back in 2019, Blevins signed a Summer League contract with the Blazers and even earned a signed on as a member of the Trail Blazers training camp roster.
In just four preseason games, he averaged 4.3 points per game. In October, with the roster already established, Blevins was waived by Portland.
Blevins last played in 2019-20 season for the G-League Northern Arizona Suns where he averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 35 games.
He averaged 11.8 points and 5.9 rebounds as a senior at Montana State in 2018-19.During his college career, Blevins averaged 7.6 points (39.9% FG, 23.4% 3-PT, 64.5% FT), 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 23.3 minutes in 117 games (99 starts).
The Trail Blazers haven’t made an official statement on Blevins.
Blevins has an opportunity to showcase his improvement over the last year to the Blazers with this new venture, as well as play with family in the area and staying close to them.
