With June 8 marking National Best Friend Day, Enes Kanter took some time to post a two-minute video showing pictures and videos of himself and Steven Adams enjoying each other.
The two were teammates with the Oklahoma City Thunder for 2.5 seasons. In their brief time together they became close, becoming known as the “Stash Bros” at one point.
While with the Thunder, Adams was primarily the starter and Kanter was his backup. On the court, the two were similar but also different. Adams was the stoic athletic defender, who is known for his picks and as being one of the stronger men in the NBA.
Kanter was the guy who wasn’t very reliable on defense but was a threat on offense and dominated the glass.
Sometimes opposites attract, and despite not being teammates for the last four seasons, the two still clearly stay close.
Since their time as teammates, Adams was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans and is the interior force with Zion Williamson. Kanter would make stops with the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and two stints with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Regardless of the distance and lack of seeing each other face-to-face, their relationship remains just as vibrant.
