Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood make their debut for the Raptors

Trail Blazers

The NBA Trade Deadline was 12 p.m. on Thursday, and the Blazers made sure to complete a deal before the day was done.

With the final minutes ticking away, the Blazers traded young stud Gary Trent Jr. and veteran Rodney Hood to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the sharp-shooting Norman Powell.

On Friday, the Raptors hosted the Phoenix Suns and the two former Blazers made their debut.

Trent Jr. got the start for Toronto and wasted little time introducing himself.

Trent Jr. finished the night with 8 points on 4-11 shooting, playing 31 minutes. He didn't record a rebound or assist, but did get a single steal.

Hood played much the same role as he did with the Blazers, coming off the bench to help Toronto's second unit.

The former Blazer played 18 minutes, scoring 2 points and grabbing a single rebound.

It may take a while for the duo to find their groove with their new squad, but it is still good to see them getting a good run with the Raptors.

Their next chance to hit the court will be very interesting though.

The Blazers next game? Sunday evening in Tampa, the 2020-21 home of the Toronto Raptors.

It will be weird to see Hood and Trent Jr. wearing the other red and black, but it will certainly be fun to see them in action.

Be ready for all the feels on Sunday, Rip City.
