The Atlanta Hawks' task of trying to even up the Eastern Conference finals just became a lot tougher.
Star point guard Trae Young won't play in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night due to a deep bone bruise in his right foot.
He will rehab the injury with the hope of returning for Game 5 in Milwaukee on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Veteran sixth man Lou Williams will start in place of Young in Game 4.
Young suffered the injury late in the third quarter of Atlanta's Game 3 loss when he stepped on a referee's foot.
He would go back to the locker room before returning to the game in the fourth quarter, where he tallied just three points and zero assists on 1-for-4 shooting in nearly eight minutes of action. Prior to the injury, Young had 32 points and four assists.
One of the breakout stars of this year's playoffs, Young has averaged 29.8 points and 9.5 assists while leading the No. 5-seeded Hawks to series upsets over the New York Knicks and top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers en route to a conference finals appearance.
