Both McCollum and Nurkic took the practice court last month for the first time.

McCollum didn’t go full speed on the agility ladder in the Trail Blazers’ video, but he was just three days removed from having his protective boot taken off.

Wednesday, the Blazers announced McCollum has been cleared for contact practice.

And even though Nurkic does not have a definite date for his return, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts gave an update on Nurkic before Portland's game against Washington on February 20th.

He’s doing well… The good thing is that since it’s a hand injury, he’s able to do a lot of aerobic cardio – do things to stay in basketball shape so that when he’s able to handle a ball with his right hand and do basketball activities, at least he’ll be in shape.

“It’s not like CJ who has had to stay off his foot… And once the healing has taken place, [Nurkic] doesn’t have to go through that – just that period of time where he’s not in basketball shape,” Stotts added.

That is definitely good news for the 7-footer and for the Blazers. It was on Jan. 19 when Nurkic underwent surgery on his right wrist
