Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkić "continues to progress in his recovery from a right wrist fracture" as announced by the President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey.
He will be re-evaluated next week.
McCollum didn’t go full speed on the agility ladder in the Trail Blazers’ video, but he was just three days removed from having his protective boot taken off.
Wednesday, the Blazers announced McCollum has been cleared for contact practice.
And even though Nurkic does not have a definite date for his return, Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts gave an update on Nurkic before Portland's game against Washington on February 20th.
“It’s not like CJ who has had to stay off his foot… And once the healing has taken place, [Nurkic] doesn’t have to go through that – just that period of time where he’s not in basketball shape,” Stotts added.
That is definitely good news for the 7-footer and for the Blazers. It was on Jan. 19 when Nurkic underwent surgery on his right wrist.
