Following the sudden announcement Thursday morning from former Trail Blazer LaMarcus Aldridge that he was going to retire from basketball after 15 seasons due to health reasons, Rip City started reminiscing about the good ole days.

Many on social media were recalling the days of watching Aldridge, Brandon Roy, and Greg Oden.

The Blazers Big 3.

Those were the days.

Fans, along with Damian Lillard, also couldn’t help but think what could’ve been had Aldridge stayed in Portland instead of leaving for San Antonio during free agency in 2015.

Thursday also had people sharing their lists of top Blazers of all-time.

And if Brandon Roy isn’t on your list, Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic is calling you out.

I will says this Trail Blazers list without B-Roy... is disrespectful! I’m talking global to...

Jusuf Nurkic

Nurkic wants it to be known that despite the 3x All-Star’s knee issues that resulted in early retirement, it shouldn’t factor into fans and the media’s top Blazers lists.

And even though Nurk doesn’t care about the statistics, Roy averaged 18.8 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds over his five season with the Blazers while, of course, capturing the hearts of Rip City.

What about the Blazers retiring Roy’s No. 7?

That could be next on the list for Nurkic’s global awareness of B-Roy's greatness.
