Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic plans to return Friday night vs. the Orlando Magic, NBC Sports Northwest has learned.
Nurkic has missed the majority of the season after suffering a right wrist fracture on January 14th. Initial reports suggested he would miss two months. It has been almost 10 weeks since the injury.
His return was delayed after he suffered a right calf strain during his rehab earlier in this month.
On March 15th, reports suggested Nurkic was aiming for a return in two weeks.
He hit the practice court for first time following his wrist injury in the middle of February.
In 12 games, the Blazers big man averaged 9.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
