Kevin Love and Portland are like a food pairing that hasn't been discovered yet.
People in the Rose City have often asked this question: “ How come Kevin Love hasn't played for the Blazers.”
It makes sense, sure. His hometown is Lake Oswego. Who wouldn’t want to play for your hometown at some point in their career?
And the Blazers have had a need at power forward for... a while.
Love has never truly said whether or not he wants to play in Portland in the past.
Love joined the 'Posted Up' podcast with Chris Haynes where he shared how he feels about the possibility of coming back to Oregon.
And he seems like he is down for that to actually happen one day, especially if it means playing with Damian Lillard.
“By the way, who wouldn’t want to play with Damian Lillard?” said Love to Haynes. “Dame is special, he is amazing.”
Love was born in California, but the majority of his life was in Oregon.
Well, there you have it, Rip City fans.
Love is actually open to coming and playing for the Trail Blazers.
The thing is, he's not even halfway through his four-year, $120M deal with Cleveland. So, the chances of landing the 32-year-old without giving up a ton of assets would be difficult.
But who knows-- there maybe love lost with Love after he made headlines for supposedly quitting on a play last week
Now that it's finally out there, questions will start swirling once again on if Love would be a good fit for the Blazers at the moment or in the near future when his contract with the Cavaliers comes to an end.
