The Portland Trail Blazers will be taking on the defending champion LA Lakers Monday night in Los Angeles. It'll be their first meeting of the season.
And it looks like Lebron James may not be available.
James is currently questionable Blazers after suffering an ankle injury, per Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register.
The four-time NBA champion hurt his ankle in the season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers, then tweaked it again on Sunday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Now that the Lakers are playing their first back-to-back games of the season, there might be a chance that James just takes the night off against the Blazers.
Portland is currently even on the season at 1-1, with losing their first game of the season to the Utah Jazz by 20 points, then coming back on Saturday with their first win of the season agains the Houston Rockets from the heroics of CJ McCollum.
Now with the Lakers next on the list, and Carmelo Anthony not with team in Los Angeles due to the team’s health and safety protocols, fans could be missing a James and Anthony matchup.
The Blazers vs. Lakers play Monday at 7:00 PM.
This article will update once James' status becomes more clear.
