This is the second time this year Valanciunas has been out due to health and safety protocols. He was pulled out of a Jan. 8 game at halftime but tested negative for COVID-19 and rejoined the team one day later.

The Lithuanian big is averaging 14.4 points and seven rebounds for the Grizz in 26.8 minutes per game this season.

Valanciunas last played on Saturday in the Grizzlies' 106-104 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, notching nine points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes. The 76ers were supposed to play on Sunday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but their game has now been postponed due to contract tracing.

As of now, there has been no postponement announced for Wednesday or Friday’s games in Portland, but it’s certainly something Trail Blazers fans will want to keep their eyes on.

Portland will welcome its next opponent, the San Antonio Spurs, on Monday at 12:00 p.m.
