As Trail Blazers fans look to next season, many are wondering what the new coaching era will bring.
Who will earn minutes in the rotation? What new schemes will the Blazers run? How will the team take steps to improve on defense?
There are undoubtedly many question marks about next season.
And then there’s Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little.
How big of a leap will he make from year two to year three?
Well, we are about to find out!
In the meantime, Little is showing off his offseason work in the Portland Pro Am Summer League.
Thanks to Blazers Argento, Rip City can watch a few highlights of Little’s Pro Am play.
The Portland Pro Am launched in 2015 and is presented by Portland native Terrence Jones, who last played in the NBA in 2018-19 with the Houston Rockets.
The Pro Am Summer League is an “opportunity for the community, players and fans to enjoy family-friendly Pro Basketball in the Summer following NBA rules to include NBA talent, overseas and college players who have completed their eligibility, competing on the court with experienced coaches leading them, and high-level officials managing the games,” as stated on their website.
Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic is also taking notice of Little’s offseason training.
Last season, Little averaged 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game.
Nurkic and the rest of Rip City are eager to see how Little’s game evolves, especially with his dedication to becoming a better defender.
