NBA and NFL players react to Joe Biden becoming President-elect

Saturday morning, NBC News projected that Joe Biden has become president-elect after winning the state of Pennsylvania, his home state.

He will become the 46th President of the United States. 

His running mate, Kamala Harris, will be the first female Vice President, as well as the first person of color to hold that position.

As the final projections were made across the battleground states, players from both the NBA and NFL have taken to social media to react to the 46th President of the United States news.

LeBron James has been active on Twitter following the breaking news.

In King James’ initial tweet, he didn’t use a caption with this photo:

LeBron then thanked his ‘Philly fam.’

Players all across the league have been tweeting about the news.

A handful of Trail Blazers have also tweeted this morning.

The Seattle Storm shared a congratulations post on Instagram: 

On the gridiron, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson tweeted out "Love is the way" with a CNN video of an emotional Van Jones reacting to the news.
