The NBA has finally announced the start time for Sunday’s Trail Blazers regular-season finale against the Denver Nuggets.
The two teams will play at 6:00 p.m.
Here is the full NBA schedule.
Both teams are fighting for seeding in the 2021 Playoffs, with implications possibly undetermined until the two teams face-off.
The Mavs and Lakers games will end while the Blazers and Nuggets are in the first half. So will the Clippers game.
So, a lot is at stake!
Denver leads the season series 2-0, with both games being decided by less than five points.
The one outlier across both meetings has been the play of Damian Lillard, averaging 23.5 points on 41% shooting in comparison to his season averages of 28.7 points on 44.5% shooting.
The common factor assisting Lillard in his struggles has been Denver’s Facundo Campazzo, who’s spent the most time guarding the Blazers guard across two games, holding him to 4-for-15 shooting, per NBA.com.
MVP candidate Nikola Jokic is averaging 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists against Portland thus far this season. A high uptick in scoring above his 26.5 average, but a decrease in his rebounds and assist numbers of 10.8 and 8.4, respectively.
As of right now, Portland is the No. 5 seed, and Denver is slotted at No. 4, with both teams possibly meeting again in the playoffs for the first time since their seven-game series in 2019.
Holding a 2-1 season series lead over the No. 6 Mavericks and No. 7 Lakers, Portland will remain in their current spot if the teams end the season with identical records.
The Lakers final two games include Indiana and New Orleans, as they try to avoid the play-in game.
For Dallas, their remaining schedule includes the Raptors then Timberwolves.
How will things shake out? It's certainly going to be an exciting weekend!
