Just when another Portland Trail Blazers 20-point deficit seemed rough enough on Thursday night, the Blazers were hit with another injury, this time to the big man Jusuf Nurkic.
Nurk left the court and headed to the locker room early in the third quarter against the Indiana Pacers clutching his right wrist.
Here’s the play.
The Trail Blazers then announced that Nurk suffered a fractured right wrist.
Certified athletic trainer Jeff Stotts, who often discusses and examines NBA injuries, says Nurkic's wrist injury could have him out for an average of 32 games if surgery is needed.
It's tough to see the big man injured again after Nurk suffered that gruesome leg injury in March 2019 that kept him off the court until the NBA restart down in the Orlando, Florida bubble last summer.
Now, here’s to hoping for another healthy, speedy recovery for the Bosnian Beast.
