CJ McCollum will make his return to the lineup Tuesday night vs. the Pelicans and all of Rip CIty is rejoicing!
While he's been teasing his return for some time, it still came as a surprise when he was absent from the Trail Blazers injury report.
So, how did CJ find out that he was cleared to play?
We have the exact moment McCollum gets the go-ahead from the team.
McCollum joined Cassidy Quinn’s 'Mentally Together' podcast on Monday and was just casually talking about guilty pleasures with food.
Then all of sudden his phone started blowing up, and he saw that they announced that he will be finally coming back to play.
Obviously, Quinn was pretty excited about the news like all of us were that McCollum is finally back.
Now all we can do is wait and see if McCollum is fully back or will it take him a few games to get back up to speed.
McCollum was averaging 26.7 and 5.0 assists in the Blazers' first 13 games before going down with a left foot fracture.
He was sidelined for 2 months.
If Tuesday night's game vs. Zion Williamson and the Pelicans didn't already have enough intrigue, now we get to see Damian Lillard and McCollum back on the floor again.
Hello, old friend!
