Portland Trail Blazers all-time great Terry Porter is extremely grateful for the city of Portland embracing him including Trail Blazers fans from all over the state of Oregon.
Porter joined hosts Channing Frye and Dan Sheldon on the latest Talkin’ Blazers Podcast to share his gratitude for all the love Rip City has shown him over the years.
It was in 1985 when the Trail Blazers drafted the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point point guard as the No. 24 overall draft pick.
Rip City is a community like no other; and the two-time All-Star has always appreciated that.
It’s evident that Porter still loves living in Portland with the 57-year-old accepting the head men's basketball coach position at the University of Portland in 2016.
Porter even likes the rain…
That’s when you know.
“My own experience here – I really love the weather conditions and love the vibe here in Portland.”
