As backup big man Enes Kanter now makes his way back to Portland following a three-team deal, Trail Blazers fans are sharing their thoughts on the trade.
First off, here’s the quick lowdown:
- Kanter was waived by the Knicks on February 7th, 2019, and the Blazers quickly signed him.
- He then played 23 regular-season games with Portland, averaging 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds, and was a huge part of the team's run to the Western Conference Finals.
- Now on Nov. 20, 2020, the Trail Blazers along with the Celtics and Grizzlies have agreed to a deal that sends Kanter back to Portland while Memphis gets Mario Hezonjia from Portland and the Celtics’ 30th pick of Desmond Bane, and Boston will also get a future Memphis draft consideration.
