Blazers forward Rodney Hood (left foot sprain) is OUT for Sunday's game at Dallas

Trail Blazers forward Rodney Hood will not be available when the Blazers take the court to face the Dallas Mavericks Sunday.

Hood was dealing with left foot soreness in Friday’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played just 12 mins of action vs. the Cavs.

The 6'8" wing was then initially listed as questionable with a left foot sprain against Dallas.

Ahead of Sunday’s contest, Trail Blazers discussed that as of right now there’s no real update on Hood.

He’s not able to play tonight. We’ll see how he feels in Oklahoma City.

Hood has played in 22 games since returning this since after tearing his left Achilles last Dec. He's averaging 5.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 19.0 minutes of action.

Sunday, the Trail Blazers will also be without CJ McCollum (left midfoot fracture), Jusuf Nurkic (right wrist fracture) and Zach Collins (left ankle stress fracture).


For the Mavericks, Tyler Bey (G League - on assignment), Nate Hinton  (G League - on assignment) and Tyrell Terry  (G League - on assignment) are out.

Sunday’s matchup between the Blazers and Mavericks is the first meeting between the two during the 2020-21 season. The remaining two regular season games are slate for the Second Half of the season.

Portland and Dallas split the season series last season, 2-2. The two have split the series each of the past two seasons.
